The draft specification of HTML5 (the next web standard) includes a 'video' element. This will permit videos to be directly embedded in webpages in the same way that images are currently. The default video format chosen for the new standard is OGG Theora.
OGG Theora has been chosen as the default video content format for Wikipedia.
Information on installing OGG Theora support on your computer is available in the Brickfilms Encyclopedia.

HTML5 Video Element Demo Page
For those who wish to install a special version of the Opera webbrowser which contains built-in support for the proposed HTML5 'video' elements, a special "demo page" containing all of the films can be viewed HERE. This special version of Opera is currently only available for the Windows operating system and can be downloaded from this webpage. This capability is still under development and you may experience difficulties (at the moment, Prisac's film does not seem to play).
UPDATE February 2008: There is now a Firefox build which contains built-in support for the proposed HTML5 'video' elements. The special "demo page" containing all of the films can be viewed HERE. This special version of Firefox is available for the Windows, Intel-based Macs, and Linux operating systems and can be downloaded from this webpage. The Linux version seems to play all of the films fine (including Prisac's).
UPDATE February 2008: I have created a sample Playlist page using the Metavid media server. Metavid will dynamically reformat the webpage (if necessary) to serve up the video in a format that your browser understands. The Playlist page is a work-in-progress as I am still learning the capabilities of this intriguing tool. (WARNING: my build of Firefox mentioned in the previous paragraph segfaulted when videos were played. I believe this is because my build didn't have JavaScript enabled.)
